The Rookies Corner, LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”) operates the Chaser mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App. Please read this policy carefully. By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
- Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, first name, and last name. You authenticate through Google or Apple sign-in; we do not collect or store your passwords.
- Business Account Information: If you register as a business account, we may also collect your business name, phone number, address, and website URL.
- Subscription Information: When you subscribe to Chaser Pro, we collect your chosen plan (monthly or annual), subscription status, renewal date, and trial status. Subscriptions are sold as auto-renewable in-app purchases. Payment is processed entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) and managed through RevenueCat. We do not collect, store, or process credit card, bank, or other financial payment information. Your subscription automatically renews at the end of each billing period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in those settings; deleting the app does not cancel your subscription.
- User-Created Content: Events you create and submit through the App, including event title, description, location, date, time, and contact information.
- Location Data: With your permission, we collect your device’s precise geographic location to show nearby trading card shops, calculate distances, find local events, and improve search results. You can search by city, zip code, or address without granting location permission. You may revoke location permission at any time through your device settings.
- Device and Push Notification Tokens: If you enable push notifications, we collect your Expo push notification token and device platform (iOS or Android) to send you alerts about events and product releases you have subscribed to.
- Usage Data: We collect information about how you interact with the App, including your favorites (shops, events, and releases), notification preferences, bell subscriptions, and filter settings. This data is stored locally on your device and synced to our servers to provide a consistent experience.
- Google and Apple Authentication: When you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your email address and, if provided, your name from the respective authentication provider.
- Google Places API: We use the Google Places API to provide location search, autocomplete suggestions, and shop information. Google may collect data in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App and its features
- Create and manage your account
- Display nearby trading card shops based on your location
- Show trading card events and product release calendars
- Send push notifications about events and releases you have opted into
- Process, manage, and renew your auto-renewable subscription, including trial eligibility and restoration of purchases
- Save your preferences, favorites, and notification settings
- Allow verified businesses to create and manage events
- Improve and personalize your experience
- Respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- Enforce our Terms of Use and comply with legal obligations
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information in the following limited circumstances:
- Service Providers: We use third-party services to operate the App, including:
- Supabase for authentication and data storage
- Google APIs (Places, Sheets, Custom Search) for location and content services
- Apple and Google for authentication
- RevenueCat for subscription and in-app purchase management
- Expo for push notification delivery
These providers only access your data as necessary to perform their functions and are obligated to protect it.
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law, court order, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you of any such change.
4. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored on secure servers provided by Supabase. Certain data (favorites, notification preferences, cached search results) is also stored locally on your device using AsyncStorage. We implement commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission over the Internet is 100% secure.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal, regulatory, or legitimate business purposes (e.g., resolving disputes, enforcing agreements).
6. Your Rights and Choices
6.1 Account and Profile
You can update your name at any time through the Profile screen in the App.
6.2 Location
You can enable or disable location permissions at any time through your device settings. The App will still function with manual location search if you deny location access.
6.3 Notifications
You can enable or disable push notifications through the App’s Profile settings or your device settings. You can manage individual bell subscriptions for specific events and releases within the App.
6.4 Favorites and Data
You can remove any favorited shops, events, or releases at any time within the App.
6.5 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account and associated data through the “Delete Account” option in the Profile screen. Before deleting your account, you must cancel any active subscription through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Upon deletion, your data will be removed from our servers.
6.6 Data Access and Portability
You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you by contacting us at the email address below.
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information.
8. Third-Party Links and Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services (e.g., shop websites, event organizer pages, Google Maps). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
9. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and processed in countries other than your own. By using the App, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate. We ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically. Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
